MC electrical installed this system and they estimated during summer the output would be on average 29k W.Not true; it was certainly on average higher than this averaging 34k W with highest daily solar output of 42k W.I haven't found anyone who has made a warranty claim to see how they have faired.Whilst that is a good thing they have not been in Australia that long to convince me of their reliability and service. If Solaredge go broke (very few companies in this industry last) are bought out, or change their inverter technology and there is an issue with the inverter requiring a replacement inverter, it may mean each power optimiser would need to be removed in order to install a new inverter, as they are installed under the panels this is a huge job.The Reposit product is still worth looking at depending on what extent you can use it to your advantage.Your welcome and our first one went in at the end 2009 or maybe the beginning of 2010.What willow said You only get what you pay for I have installed a 6.325 system in Feb 20156 kw Solar Edge inverter, 23 x 275 LG Pannels I'm in TASSI, on a good summer day we produce in the high 40 ies Works flawless, Recommend it highly You want a Rolls Royce, go for it I had a Solar Edge 5000 system installed 6 years ago.
I like the idea of Solaredge's individual power optimisers and the ability to monitor each panel's output and the ability for each panel to essentially work autonomously.
However you can have up to 5.25k W per string so your system may have been better if wired up in 1 string of 20 panels.
Solar Edge optimisers needs a minimum of 8 unshaded panels in a string to operate, so you have a 2 panel buffer per string, when if wired up with 20 panels would have given you a 12 panel buffer!
My thoughts: excellent system, you only get what you pay for and I'm only importing on average 5-9k W per day. The solaredge app works flawlessly to see real time output and consumption – it's easy to see on an i OS, computer or Samsung or similar device.
Besides I'm setup for when batteries become less expensive!I am very interested in the Solaredge solution, have had numerous quotes, and pored over many discussions on the net. I installed at my home a single phase solaredge inverter (se5000) with 20 x Sunpower 327w panels (total = 6.54k W) in late November 2016.
